One semester, I worked as a grader for the math department at my university. I graded quizzes and homework assignments for Calculus I. It was a ton of work for not a lot of money, but I thought it would be good to put on my resume. In all actuality, I didn’t even put it on my resume since it wasn’t actual teaching experience. Over the course of the semester, though, I snapped some pictures of the most amusing answers I came across while grading.

Today, while playing your Zombie Game with my class, they got into a discussion while waiting for some students to finish doing a problem (I think it was give an example of a perfect square greater than 100--I did random questions) about how fun it would be to write all the wrong answers on a test with funny comments just to see what would happen! Crazy!

I put the graph of a line on a pair of unmarked axes and asked the students to write down five "reasonable" pairs of points for the graph. One boy raised his hand after writing down the x and y intercepts and said, "Ms. Zimmer, I can't find anymore points on the line."
