What are Flower Sudoku Puzzles?

In a traditional 9×9 Sudoku Puzzle, the challenge is to complete the 9×9 grid so that each row, each column, and each outlined 3×3 square region contains exactly one of each number between 1 and 9. Numbers cannot be repeated in any row, column, or outlined square.

In a flower sudoku puzzle, there are five different 9×9 traditional sudoku puzzles that overlap to form the cross-shaped grid. This is known as a type of multi-sudoku puzzle because it combines several sudoku puzzles into one with adjacent areas overlapping. A very similar style of multi-sudoku puzzle is the cross sudoku puzzle which also includes five overlapping puzzles, but the grids overlap in a slightly different manner.

I would recommend learning how to solve the standard 9×9 sudoku puzzle before attempting these printable flower sudoku puzzles or any of the multi-sudoku puzzles.
