Logic Puzzle Taste Test
Enjoy a “taste test” of 16 different types of paper and pencil logic puzzles with this free printable handout I designed for a professional development session I was leading.

About My PD Session
Last week, I presented at my district’s “Day of Learning.” Like usual, I presented 2 sessions over “Promethean Board Tips and Tricks.”
But I decided to change things up this year and offer a new session on “Early Finisher Activities.” I had originally told myself that I was going to just wing the presentation and not prepare any slides or handouts. I’ve presented about using puzzles in the classroom many times at various conferences, so I felt prepared.
Then, the afternoon before the session, I decided that I wanted to give my participants a “taste test” of some of the logic puzzles I have on my website that can be used as early finisher activities. Well, one “taste test” quickly became FOUR!

I posted a quick pic on my Facebook page of the handouts, and I quickly heard from SO many teachers that they would love a copy of the file I put together.
Taste Tests
I ended up putting together four taste tests. Each taste test has the instructions and one puzzle to solve for four different types of logic puzzles.
Full collections of each one of these types of puzzles can be found on my website for FREE!

While I created these for a teacher audience, they would also be great to use with students. Watch what types of puzzles they gravitate to, and then you can print off full puzzle sets of that type.
