70 Square Logic Puzzles
In this collection of 70 Square Puzzles, your challenge is to add additional digits to some of the cells so that the sum of numbers in each row and column equals 70.
Instructions
Each 70 Square puzzle consists of a 3×3 or 4×4 square grid with numbers appearing in each square.
Add one additional digit to some of the cells so that the sum of numbers in each row and column of the square equals 70.
In the above example, the original top row of the square was 1, 5, 5 which sums to 7. If you look at the puzzle solution, you can see that the 1 needs to be changed to an 11 and the first 5 needs to be changed to a 54. Now 11 + 54 + 5 = 70.
It’s quite easy to make any single row or column sum to seventy. The challenge is to make EVERY single row and column sum to 70.

This set of 70 Square Puzzles features sixty different puzzles that are arranged 6 to a page. You can print a single page of puzzles to solve or the entire packet of puzzles.

Puzzle Solutions
Puzzle solutions are available on a password-protected solution page. I do not openly post the puzzle answer keys because one of my goals as a resource creator is to craft learning experiences for students that are non-google-able. I want teachers to be able to use these puzzles in their classrooms without the solutions being found easily on the Internet.
Please email me at sarah@mathequalslove.net for the password to the answer key database featuring all of my printable puzzles and math worksheets. I frequently have students emailing me for the answer key, so please specify in your email what school you teach at and what subjects you teach. If you do not provide these details, I will not be able to send you the password.

I am continually in awe of how many people are using these puzzles with scouting groups, with senior adults battling dementia, or as fun activities in their workplace.
