Ways to Write Multiplication
Over the years, I have created many different math posters for my own students. This poster, however, was a special request from a blog reader who wanted a poster to illustrate the different ways that we can write multiplication to reference throughout the school year.

I intentionally showed two examples for each way to represent multiplication – one example featuring two variables and one example showing a constant being multiplied by a variable.
An editable file is included if you want to edit the wording to match your specific math curriculum or preferences.

This poster is designed to print on 11 x 17 cardstock, but I also created a letter-sized version that can be printed on multiple sheets of paper and glued/taped together to form a larger poster if you do not have the ability to print on 11 x 17 paper.
