I found this task in the Open Curriculum Task Database. I loved listening to the conversations my students had as they struggled through this problem. And, I mean “struggle” in the best possible way!
Puzzle Instructions
Given the image of the square and one side length, find the four specified segment lengths.
I used this One Big Square Task with my trigonometry students to review 45-45-90 special right triangles.
We glued the problem and our working in our trigonometry interactive notebooks.

I do not openly post the answer keys because one of my goals as a resource creator is to craft learning experiences for students that are non-google-able.
